Yahoo verliert Werbeeinnahmen
Yahoo-Chefin Marissa Mayer zeigte sich mit dem Ergebnis ihres Unternehmens fĂĽr das zweite Quartal nicht zufrieden.
Yahoo laufen die Werbekunden davon. Der US-Internetkonzern nahm im zweiten Quartal weniger Geld durch grafische Anzeigen ein. Das zog den gesamten Umsatz um 4 Prozent auf 1,1 Milliarden Dollar (810 Millionen Euro) herunter. Der Gewinn fiel im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum laut Mitteilung [1] um 19 Prozent auf unterm Strich 270 Millionen Dollar.
"Wir sind nicht zufrieden mit den Ergebnissen im zweiten Quartal", räumte Marissa Mayer am Dienstag ein. Die frühere Google-Managerin verfolgt seit ihrem Amtsantritt im Sommer 2012 den Plan, durch neue Inhalte und Funktionen mehr Nutzer und damit Werbeanzeigen auf die Yahoo-Angebote zu locken. Die Erfolge sind aber eher durchwachsen. Bei der Suchmaschinen-Werbung konnte Yahoo erneut zulegen, was den Abwärtstrend bremste.
