Admins can sit back and relax, at least when it comes to Android and Pixel smartphones: There's nothing to patch in July.
Google has no bug fixes for Android in July. The company is also not updating Pixel smartphones.
Google writes this surprising news in the security notifications for the patchday overviews [1]. For both the Android Patchday overview [2] and the Pixel update list [3], the company simply writes: "There are no [Android|Pixel] security patches in [Android|Pixel] Security Notifications in July 2025."
Presumably, however, Android has not become completely secure in one fell swoop. However, Google does not comment on the reasons why the developers have not put together updated packages that increase the security of Android smartphones.
